He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Bitz and Margaret Bitz (Voller); his former wife Doris Bidwell; his children, Sherri Garr and Andrew; his siblings, Isabelle, Rose, Victoria, Margaret, John, Adam, Joseph and Leo; his grandson Alan Palmer; and his great grandchild Lilly Geffre.
He is survived by: his former wife Mabel Cook; his children, Terry Geffre (Raymond) and Rosanne Erickson; his stepchildren, Raymond Erickson and Caroline Cook-Forsberg; and his sister Alvina Kluth. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
