He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton M Wald and Ida Wald (Bernhardt); his children, Jody Wald (Jim Wahl) of Bismarck, Gary Wald (MaDonna) of Bismarck, Kathy Weninger (Scott Steckler) of Bismarck, Janet Wald (Chuck Markel) of Bismarck, Duane Wald (Eileen) of Hague, Karen Hulm (Dennis) of Strasburg, LeeAnn Jangula (Tony) of Bismarck, Dean Wald (Audrey) of Bismarck, Darin Wald of Bismarck and Carrie Gefroh (Doug) of Hague; his brother Martin Wald (Rose); his brother-in-law Pius Scherr; and also, Lambert and Barbara Glatt (Wangler).
He is survived by: his spouse Catherine Wald (Katie Glatt); and his siblings, Benedicta Scherr, Marie Kaikani (Pat), Alice Johnstun (Jim) and Tony Wald (Elaine). He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren.
