He was predeceased by: his parents, Ludwig "Louie" Klatt and Nellie Klatt (Hollihan); his nephew Mike Sjomeling; his niece Bonnie; his wife Alice Ann; and his brothers, Ernie, Cecil, Lester and Lowell.
He is survived by: his daughters, Gail Veland (Paul) of Ennis, MT, Brenda Sand (Boyd) of Ellendale and Amy Dean (Donner) of Byers, CO; his sister Lila Pinkertons of Helena, MT; and his nieces and nephews, Cindy Sandmier of Pollock, SD, Janet Kosters (Les) of Mobridge, SD, Jackie Vetsch (Bob) of Pollock and Kenny Sjomeling of Strasburg. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
