He is survived by: his daughters, LaVone Harnisch (Eb) of Hebron, ND and Julie Johnson of Mandan, ND; his grandchildren, Richard Harnisch, Monte Johnson and Abbey Harnisch; his brother Gerhardt Reuer (Leona) of Jamestown; and also Gottleib. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
