We are sad to announce that on April 17, 2025, at the age of 54, Sonja Jean Berget (Stanley, North Dakota) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Melda Packineau and Kenneth V. Berget; and her siblings, Hugh Drags Wolf Jr., Arthur Paulson and Jolene Begay.
She is survived by: her siblings, Marmie Hamamoto (Charles) of Tucson, AZ, Marilyn Howling Wolf (Alfred McGillis) of Sedro Wooley, WA, Renita Howling Wolf "Lita" of New Town, ND, Caroline Rhoades (Charles) of Beaver Dam, WI, Michael Howling Wolf (Karyl Jefferson) of Bellingham, WA, Carroll Howling Wolf (Delia) of New Town, ND, Susan R. Paulson of Bismarck, ND, Robert Schmidt and Donna Follet; and her granddaughter Cedar Sonja Dyanne Grinnell. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM and at 4:00 PM. A wake was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Springan Stevenson Funeral Home (120 12th Ave SE, Stanley, ND 58784). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Northern Lights Wellness Center.
