He was predeceased by: his parents, Milford Johnson and Myrtle Johnson; and his sister Malonie Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Arlene; his daughters, Chelsey Waswick of Minot, ND and Stephanie Enander (David) of Stanley, ND; his grandchildren, Veronica, Daphne, Bethany, Mara and Dean; and his siblings, Dennis Johnson (Ramona) of Williston, ND, Connie Faucett (Larry) of Pretty Prairie, KS and Jo Davis (Jay) of Hutchinson, KS. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
