With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Arlan Nelson of Souris, North Dakota, born in Bottineau, North Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 2, 2024 at the age of 80. Though Arlan has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Nelson and Inga "Josie" Nelson (Tonneson); and his daughter Amy Lee Ann. He is survived by: his children, Jonas (Dawn) of Minot and Nicole (Cameron Nicklaus) of Pasadena, TX; and his grandchildren, Alyssa Nelson, Kyle Nelson (Jessica), Melanie Smith (Patrick), Thomas Nelson (Daveigh), Josie Nicklaus and Jakob Nicklaus.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Nero Funeral Home (402 Sinclair St, Bottineau, ND 58318). A prayer was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Grace Lutheran Church (615 10th St E, Bottineau, ND 58318).
