He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Fern Froelich; his wife Darlene of Solen; his daughter Sonya Weinberger (Cody) of Breien, ND; his siblings, Karen Riedinger (Mike) of Bismarck and Mark Froelich (Carol) of Bismarck; his grandchildren, Hanna Weinberger, C. L. Weinberger and Sydney Weinberger; and his father Jake Froelich. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to ND Cowboy Hall of Fame.
