With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gerald Schmidt of Solen, North Dakota, who passed away on September 13, 2023 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his aunts and uncles, Rocky (Joe Fleck), Frank Fleck, Joe, Janice Fleck, Darlene and Kay Fleck; his sister Linda Zearley (Schmidt); his brother-in-law Curtis Zearley; his parents-in-law, Rudolph and Anna Vangsness (Hauge); and his siblings-in-law, Audrey Lafferty, Jean Lammers, Elizabeth Anderson (Babe), Sharon Erickson, Dean Lafferty and Phillip Erickson.
He is survived by: his wife Laurie Schmidt; his children, Jana, Jared, Jon, Joy (Dustin) and Jodi; his grandchildren, Aidan, Anna, Avery, Autumn, Eli, Garrett and Elden; his siblings, Cynthia Haff (Ken) and Darwin; and his sister-in-law Alice Vangsness.
