He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Fries and Charity Fries (Eide); his siblings, Teddy, Dick, Dorothy Ranney, Jane Sarsland Fries and Ethel Kurth; his siblings-in-law, Diane Fries, Donald Ranney and Willy Sarsland; his niece Julie Ranney; and his nephew Justin Sarsland.
He is survived by: his siblings, Bev Kauffman (Willie), Roy, Jim (Tina), Jack and Bill Fries (Lorraine); and his siblings-in-law, Kaye Fries and Dave Kurth. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
