He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bigwood and Alta Bigwood (Young); and his former wife Letitia Dickson. He is survived by: his wife Karen Bigwood; his children, Connie Strand (Curtis) of Stewart, MN, Rick Bigwood (Susan), Alan Bigwood (Sue) of Cavalier, ND, David Bigwood (Linzi) of Louisville, KY and Heather Bigwood of Concordia, KS; his grandchildren, Nathan Strand (Lauri), Kayla Skramstad (Doug), Chad Bigwood (Val), Michael Bigwood (Brenna), Austin Bigwood (Cassidy), Nicholas Bigwood, Harper Bigwood, Senora Filipiak and Meladen Champion; and his sister Betty Wolfgram of Grand Forks, ND.. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Thomas United Methodist Church, St. Thomas Fire Hall or Hospice of the Red River Valley.
