We are sad to announce that on July 15, 2019, at the age of 104, Ethel M Torgerson (Saint Thomas, North Dakota) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Torgerson and Elizabeth Torgerson (McMartin); and her brothers, Earl, Everett Torgerson and Marvin McMartin. She is also survived by several nieces and great great nephews.

“Deepest sympathy to the family of Ethel. She was my math teacher at Newfolden High School. She was an inspiration to me to pursue a math degree. There were not many women math teacher at the time. She was a wonderful teacher, fair and kind. Everyone respected her. She will be dearly remembered by many. After high school, I substitute taught for her when her mother was ill. She was a very special person and a good friend! -Becky Olson and Lyle Olson”
