He was predeceased by: his parents, Catarino Surita, Sr. and Josefina Castañeda; and his siblings, Oscar Surita Sr., Carmen Contreras, Virginia Dominguez and Mario Alberto Surita.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lee Rodriguez. He is also survived by his 6 children, 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
