She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Cavanaugh and Sylvia Cavanaugh (Strait); her grandparents, Mary Adele Dubois, Maggie, Martin Strait, John and Mary Cavanaugh; her siblings, Dominic Strait, Gene Cavanaugh, William "Bill" Cavanaugh and Mary Longie; her aunts and uncles, Lillie Hinderscheit, Margaret "Kin" Barber, Irene Smith, Dorothy Amaro, Regina Strait, Imelda Strait, Martha Jones, Daniel Cavanaugh Sr., William "Chip" Strait, Philip Strait, Max Cavanaugh, Arthur "Art" Cavanaugh and John Baptist "JB" Cavanaugh; her close friend Delemma "Duma" Greywater; and her nieces, Patricia Cavanaugh and Rochelle "Rocky" Cavanaugh.
She is survived by: her husband Lawrence Greene; her daughters, Lori Gourd (Frank) and Jacquie DeMarce (George); her great grandchildren, Morgan McKay, Maci McKay, Warren Greene, Lance Gourd, George DeMarce III, Frank Gourd Jr., Drew Rothermel (Steve), Mitchell Greene (Brittni) and Brittany Omen; her grandchildren, Wambdi "Roger", Kylie Gourneau-Jetty, Gustaf and Karma; and her caregiver Brad of Spirit Lake, EMS. She is also survived by many many Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews.
A procession was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the City Plaza (210 U. S. Rte 2, Devils Lake, ND 58301). Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Michael's Catholic Church (136 1st St, St Michael, ND 58370). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. Her retirement only lasted 6 months and she started to work for various areas within the tribe, with her last job being with the Employment and Training program until the pandemic hit in 2020, where she was forced to go home and stay home.
