He is survived by: his children, Dorreen Olstad (Alan), Virgil Jr. Hoistad (Cynthia), Denise Huckell (Bill), Karen Medhaug (Jason), Kristine Harris (Mike), Janelle Hansen (Curt) and Joel Hoistad (Sandy); his grandchildren, Curtis Olstad (Michele), Patrick Olstad (Mandy), Jeffrey Hoistad (Callen), Sarah Mongeon (Steven), Holly Taylor (Austin), Jared Huckell (Natasha), Ryan Medhaug, Mason Harris (Darrien), Keelan Harris, Derek Hansen (Nicole), Adam Hansen, Braxten Hoistad and ArieOnna Hoistad; his sisters, Jean Haugtvedt and Marlene Maeser (Bob); and his sisters-in-law, Ethel Hoistad and Lois Hoistad. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
