We are sad to announce that on October 27, 2020, at the age of 91, Bernice Emma Banish of Rutland, North Dakota, born in Bluffton, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, William Barthel and Clara Barthel (Witzke); her former husband Arnold Gene Banish; her children, Richard Banish of Cayuga, Michael Banish (Deborah) of Rutland and Clarice Banish of Fargo; her grandsons, Tyler and Anthony Banish; her siblings-in-law, Joan Beyer of Breckenridge and Thomas Banish (Shirley) of Lidgerwood; her husband Preceding; and her siblings, Mary Alma Barthel (Clara Witzke), Marcella Barthel, Bernadine "Bee" Passalacqua, Bernadette Zylla, Leroy Barthel and Rita Barthel. She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews.

COVID19 practices of social distancing and mask wearing will be in place at the funeral.
