He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Solem and Dorothy Solem (Volk); his grandparents, Thorney Solem (Mabel) and Christian Volk (Christine); his sister-in-law Debbie Solem; his nephew Andrew Solem; and his aunts and uncles, Marleen Volk, Belford 'Doc' Solem (Madeline), Marilyn Gillmore, William Meyer (Betty), Frances Schwab, Thelvin Solem (Lila), Harold Solem (Rosie) and John Isakson.
He is survived by: his siblings, Thomas Solem, Bradley Solem (Jima) of Indiana and Diana Garnas (Terry); his nieces and nephews, Derek Solem, Amber Cundiff, Kip, Jodi Pierson, Heather and Aaron Garnas; his uncles, Clayton Gillmore, Richard Schwab and Richard Volk (Lois); and his aunt Delores Isakson. He is also survived by his family and friends.
