He was predeceased by: his mother Alberta Acord; and his parents-in-law, Vernon and Marlys Drake. He is survived by: his wife Ann of Rugby; his daughter Heather Stevens (Richard) of Grand Forks; his grandchildren, Avalyne, Jarrett and Darrion; his half-sister Ginger Ludtke of Casper, Wyoming; his brothers-in-law, Paul Drake and Keith Drake (Vicky); and his father Franklin Miller.
