With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gerald Vincent Burkhartsmeier (Rugby, North Dakota), who passed away on November 30, 2020 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Burkhartsmeier and Marie Burkhartsmeier (Peters); his aunts and uncles, James Peters, Charles Peters (Dorothy), Louisa Newberry (Eugene) of Oak Park, IL and Gemma Peters; and his sister Barbara.
He is survived by: his wife Orpha Vestre; his daughters, LeAnn Fuchs (Neil) of Jamestown, Pamela Burkhartsmeier and Mary Klein (Derrick); his grandchildren, Kelli Fuchs, Julie Fischer (Daniel), Nikolaus Fuchs, Emily, Jacob, Joseph Bosley, Paxton, Camile and Jaxon Klein; his great grandchild Louie Neil Fischer; and his siblings, Gene of Rugby, Charles (Sally), Patti Hook of Mesa, AZ and Jane Kourajian (Paul). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Honorary Bearers: All grandchildren Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, all guests will be required to wear a mask and maintain social distancing.
Memorials in Gerald's name may be given to Turtle Mountain Lutheran Cemetery or a charity of your choice.
