He was predeceased by: his parents, Clair Heidlebaugh and Gladys Heidlebaugh (Blessum); and his sisters, Adele Hager and Elaine Sornsin. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia LaVerne Irwin; his son Michael (DeAnna) of Rugby; his sister Judy Jelsing (Wayne); his daughters, Dara Mann (Allan) of Minneapolis and Nancy Solem (Dave) of Bismarck; his grandchildren, Stephanie King (Chad), David Mann (Jaclyn), Thomas Mann, Cassie Delzer, Lindsey Delzer, Bradley, Shea, Kate and Mykell Heidlebaugh; and his great grandchildren, Eldon, Reuben King, Aurora Ding, Ulric Mann, Boaz King, Capelle Mann and Rogue Mann.
He told stories that were frequently enjoyed and repeated, laying that firm family foundation.
