He was predeceased by: his parents, Rochus Roy and Anna Marie Scherr Axtman; his son Mark; his granddaughter Sierra; his daughter-in-law Lynn Larson; and his siblings, Adam, Daniel, Leo, Ada Black, Caroline Ebach and Francis Schmaltz.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Betty Koble; his children, Richard, Peggy (Kirby Harmel) and Rugby; and his brothers, David, Ronald and Timothy. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
