He was predeceased by: his sister Ruth Ann Fletschock; his brothers-in-law, Greg Nelson and Ray LaChapelle; his niece Sarah Deschamp; his parents, Melvin Thompson and Esther Thompson; and his grandparents, Inga, Olof Thompson, Mabel and Hans Braaten.
He is survived by: his sisters, Marlene Nelson of West Fargo and Ila LaChapelle of Portland; his brother-in-law Al Fletschock of Devils Lake; his nieces and nephews, Amber Fletschock, Lindsey Banister (Jamie), Mackenzie Fletschock, Scott LaChapelle and Andrea Deschamp; his great-nieces, Hannah, Ella and Lily Banister; and his pet Chopper. He is also survived by other relatives, friends.
