He was predeceased by: his parents, William Block and Laura Block (Klebe); his son Jeff; his brother Garry; his nephew Robert; his niece Debbie; and his parents-in-law, Darlene Block and Don Erickson.

He is survived by: his spouse Kathlyn Erickson; his children, Jim Block (Sherri) of Hazen, Mary Jane Block of Harvey, Jackie Burckhard (Rod) of Towner, Jerry Block (Teresa) of Rugby, Jodi Fransen (Terry) of Milford, NE and Jason Block (Sarah) of Minot; his grandchildren, Shane Block (Andrea), Shelby Block (Chelsey), Shyler Block, Nichole Syvertson (Daniel), Tyler Block, Ryan Block (Kyra), Talya Block, Brady Block, Evan Burckhard, Garrett Fransen and Lauryn Fransen; his great grandchildren, Karson, Ava Block, Sawyer, Luke Syvertson, Ashton, Ember and Ivory Block; his brother Marvin of Towner; and his parents-in-law, Sharon Gillund (Rod), Terry Erickson (Nancy), Sally Erickson and Janice Block. He is also survived by nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.
