He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilhelm H. Martens and Mary Martens (Treis); his brothers, Bill (Evie), Henry (Edith) and Pete (Elouise); and his nephew Herbie.
He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Lemer; his children, Mark (Lisa) of Cooperstown, Annette of Bismarck, Gary of Ross, Steven (Tamara) of Stanley and Bobby (Christie) of Ames, IA; his grandchildren, Brenden, Zackary (Ashley), Isaac, Rebecca, Norah, Lucas, Peter and Henry; and his great grandchildren, Tucker, Alaina and Bennett. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
