Welch of Rolla, North Dakota, born in Cando, North Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 18, 2024 at the age of 71. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Welch and Jeanne Welch; and his son Travis LaVallie. He is survived by: his close friend Valerie Peltier of Dunseith; his children, Ann Counts (Harold) of Dunseith, Shauna LaVallie of Belcourt, Autumn Langon of Trenton, Krystal Peltier of Chattanooga, TN, Errin Peltier of Minot, Cameron Peltier of Bismark, Curtis St. Claire Jr. of Bismark and Ryan Peltier of Valley City; and his brothers, Pete, Todd (Lisa), Jim (Hope), Pat (Bev) and Jay Welch (Cindy). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
