Betty Joy Verkaik Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Joy Verkaik (Reeder, North Dakota), who passed away on March 20, 2018 at the age of 56. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Harm Hilvers; her brother-in-law Arlyn Dirksen; and also, Arie Verkaik and Lucy Verkaik. She is survived by: her husband Robert; her children, Tiffany Etherton (Kevin), Jacqueline, Nathaniel, Ashley Van (Pete), Zelfde, Brookyn, Peter, Jr., Anneke Lindquist (Michael), Zeke, Jonathan, Adrianna Sokolofsky, Lucille Joy, Joshua and Brianna; her mother Alice Hilvers of Ripon, CA; and her siblings, Jo Dirksen of Sioux Center, IA, Pam Sleeman of Ripon, CA, Nanci Dragt (John) of Lake Norden, SD, Brenda De Jong (Arie) of Visalia, CA and Harm Hilvers of Salida, CA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers a Memorial has been established by her family to the Aplastic Anemia and MDS International Foundation.
