He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Puppe and Ella Puppe (Heuchert); his siblings, Janice and Duane; and his nephew Wade.

He is survived by: his brothers, Wayne, Jim (Sharon) and Larry (Holly); and his nieces and nephews, Michael (Susie), Mark (late Sarah), Brian (Allison), Aaron, Kimberly Grove (Mark), Maria Biberdorf (Kevin) and Megan Puppe. He is also survived by five great-nephews and six great-nieces.
