He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Sailer and Johanna Sailer (Spier); his siblings, Raymond Sailer (Pauline) and Henrietta Oestreich (Herman); and his siblings-in-law, Elmer Harsch, Eugene Boeshans and Louise Harsch.
He is survived by: his wife Luella Harsch of Pick City; his son Ricky Sailer; his daughter-in-law Sandra Sailer of Pick City; his grandson Brandon (Marisa); and his great grandchild Weston. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
