He is survived by: his children, Amanda Smith of Grand Forks, Holly Smith of Parshall, Arlin Smith Baker of Mandaree and Dillon Smith of Bismarck; his siblings, Merle Smith and Jerry Irwin (Linda); his close friend Doreen Good; and his aunts, Kathleen Racine, Mavis Foote, Caroleen Foote and Barbara Hammer. He is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.
