He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Laaveg and Josephine Laaveg (Lovaasen); his sister Linda; and his brother-in-law David Austermann of Lake Orion, MI.. He is survived by: his wife Margie Laaveg; his children, Wayne Laaveg (Tracy) of Park River, ND, Douglas Laaveg (Cindy) of Minto, ND, Sherri Sobolik (Craig) of Pisek, ND and Jennifer Thompson (Ronald) of Park River, ND; his sister Lorie Bender (Donavan) of Venturia, ND; his niece Elizabeth Bender; and his nephew Matthew Austermann. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family would prefer memorials made to a charity of the donor's choice.
