She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard McLaughlin and Rose McLaughlin (Lansing); her siblings, Ethel Corah, Margaret Winther, Harold and Lawrence; and her husband Joseph Espelien.
She is survived by: her children, Arden Espelien (Donna) of Scappoose, OR, Carmen Severson (Steve) of Minto, ND, ReNae Gerszewski (Wayne) of Park River, ND and JoEllen Espelien of Park River, ND. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
