He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Oppegard and Alice Oppegard (Attleson); and his brother Robert. He is survived by: his wife Janene Barnett; his children, Katrina Wendel (Cody) of Pensacola, FL, Matthew Oppegard (Melissa) of Park River, ND and Kelsey Slaamod (Dustin) of Park River, ND; his sister Virginia Exel of Brooklyn Center, MN; and his grandchildren, Drake, Leia and Adelyn.
Don will be remembered not only for his contributions to the community, but by his family and friends as a kind and generous person, a quiet and quick-witted friend, and a strong and driven man.
