It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Orval Petterson (Osnabrock, North Dakota), born in Milton, North Dakota, who passed away on March 1, 2018, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his children, JoAnn and Darrin; and his siblings-in-law, Nancy Petterson, Ruth Petterson and Jack Franz.
He is survived by: his wife Betty; his children, Duane (Sandy), Julie Krom (Danny) and Jody Girodat (Terry); his grandchildren, Kayla Krom, Brandon Krom (Courtney), Erica Petterson, Ashley Harstad (Andrew), Kari Krom (Aaron Restad), Becky Krom, Kristi Johnston (Gabe) and Alex Gronhovd; his siblings, Robert Petterson, Harold Petterson (Linda), Idella Franz and Joan Schrader; and his brother-in-law Clarence Heck. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren along with many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Altru Hospice.
