He was predeceased by: his parents, Royal Berntson and Betty Jean Berntson (Greenman); his brother-in-law Dan Matheson; and his son-in-law Joel Martin. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Miller; his stepchildren, Susan Martin of Clarks Grove, MN and Stephen Sullivan of Washington, IA; his siblings, Sylvia Matheson of Rochester, MN, Randy Berntson (Claire) of Fargo, ND and Kathy Knipple (Wayne) of Summer, WA; his grandchildren, Justin, Nicholas, Joshua (Emma), Scott, Madison, Josh and Tim; and his great grandchild Elijah.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Guelph Community Church. A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
