He is survived by: his wife Merrie Schmidt; his children, Rita Lystad (Ernie) of Granville, Edwin of Towner and Scott (Cameron) of Grand Forks; his stepchildren, Julie Fernandes (Menino) of Farmington, MN, Katelyn Caraballo (Steven Kerchner) of Cincinnati, OH, Samuel Leighton (Chenise) of Towner and Bobbi Leighton of Bismarck; his sisters-in-law, Joan Schiffner of Lake Park, MN and Sandra Barnes (Hilton) of Fargo; and his pet Speedy. He is also survived by 3 Grandsons, 3 Granddaughters; 1 great-grandson; 1 great-granddaughter.
