He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Phyllis Orn; his children, Timothy Meehl (Deb) of Perham, Joe Meehl (Tina) of Crete, Darla Faehn of Riverview and Melisa Roehrich (Terry) of Oakes; his siblings, Robert Meehl (Sonda), Gus Meehl (June) and Janice Iverson; his parents, Michael Meehl and Ruth Meehl; and his siblings, Kenneth Meehl, Blanch Fiala, Doris Fiala, Grace Nelson and Connie Kluever. He was also cherished by 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren.
