He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Paul Roney and Doris Roney (Minard); his former wife Roberta Obenchain; his wife Charlotte Gemar Exner; his brother James Roney; his sister-in-law Ramona Roney; his great-nephew Carson Roney; his stepson John Exner; his children, Jana Hankey (David), Abraham, Jackson, Bryan Roney, Courtney (Matt), Wilkinson (Mara), Eric, Bradley Roney (Brenda), Brooke, Benjamin, Jill Karlgaard (Darin), Allison, Emily, Abigail, Colby, Jared, Brayan, Kaleb, Tina Deitemeyer (Tim), Ashley Adam (Nora), Christopher Bolstad (Isaiah), Jesse Deitemeyer and Tyler (Kara); his siblings, Dennis Roney, Larry Roney (Linda) and Karen Cleveland (Dennis); and his sister-in-law Margie Roney.
