He was predeceased by: his grandfather Cor; his brother Cornelius Vern Hopkins Jr.; his grandparents, Ethel Silk and Ronnie Renville; and his aunts and uncles, Bret, Kenny Trottier, Drew Hopkins, Carolyn, Caddy, Elizabeth, Dolly Mae Hopkins and Alva Carlson.
He is survived by: his parents, Cornelius Vern Hopkins Sr. (Loretta Renee Renville) and Renee; his children, Cylus, Eva, Lexi, Izrael and Jadyen; his siblings, Charlsie Walking Elk, Katie Rose Little Eagle, Charlie (Kayla), Ron, Bret Walking Elk (Ferrin), Shylo Baker (Melvina), Earl (Theresa) and Isaiah Hopkins; his grandmother Yvonne Chase-Merrick; his aunts, Lavonne Swift Eagle-Snydal, Izetta Hopkins, Madonna Azure (Roy) and Stephanie Trottier; and his friend Hunka. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, adopted family.
A procession was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Funeral Will Leave the Funeral Home (3732 97th Ave NW, New Town, ND 58763). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Northern Lights Wellness Center (710 9th St N, New Town, ND 58763).
