She was predeceased by: her parents, Milton Wald and Sheila Wald (Smith); and her father-in-law Otto Backhaus. She is survived by: her husband Leigh; her sons, Larin (Laura), Levi (Molly), Lawton (Kelsey) and Lexon; her adoptive son Ernest Borntrager; her siblings, Russell Wald (Karla) and Jewel Wald; and her mother-in-law Phyllis Backhaus.
