Kautzman and Rose Kautzman (Wetsch); his wife Katherine Schlosser (Kathy); his children, Donna Schmidt (Doug), Darlene Hill (Tim), Doug Kautzman (Barb), Doris Smith (Jim) of Bismarck, Debby Johnson (Ray Butler), Dale Kautzman (Lisa), Daren Kautzman, Donavon Kautzman (Marlene), David Kautzman (Tamara), Diana Bopp (Dion), Delton Kautzman and Dana Pazdernik (Mike) of New Salem; his friends, Joe, Clara Schaner, Kenny and Katie Kunz; his sister Mary Stein; his children, Jerome Kautzman, Tom Kautzman, George Kautzman (Phyllis) and Pat Kautzman; his sister Stella Olson; his daughter Josephine; his brothers, George and Dan; and his parents-in-law, Peter and Isabella Schlosser. He was also cherished by brothers and sisters-in-law.
