He was predeceased by: his parents, Leander Sr. Zins and Ann Zins (Hoff); his brother Edward Zins (Marilyn); his nephew Doug Renfrow; his niece Charlotte Pray; and his brothers-in-law, Elroy Odegard and Ray Paluck.
He is survived by: his siblings, Mary Ann Paluck, Kathy Zins of Anchorage, AK, Jeanette Bock, Pauline Hirning (Jerry) of Zimmerman, MN, Irene Voth (Mike), Patty Nelson (Cliff), Dorothy Beaudoin (Jerry), Elaine Byrd of Union City, CA, Rosie Odegard, Leah Zins of Hopkins, MN, Christine Condelario (Kevin) of Casper, WY, John Zins (Bonnie), Charles Zins of Green Valley, AZ, Adam Zins (Jill) of Greenfield, IN and Florian Zins (Judy); and his sister-in-law Marilyn Zins. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Life Catholic Church (801 1st St SE, Mandan, ND 58554). A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at the North Dakota Veteran's Cemetery (1825 46th St, Mandan, ND 58554).
