Verlin J. Pekas Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 4, 2024, at the age of 88, Verlin J. Pekas of Mott, North Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Pekas and Ella Pekas (Varuscka); his wife Ina Stevahn; his son Verlin R. Pekas Jr.; and his siblings, Lorene Ebert-Kallis, Doris Weickum, Lawrence and Raymon.
He is survived by: his daughters, Debra Dutchuk of Bismarck, ND, Darlene Wait (Jack) of Mound, MN and Donna Hoffer (Lyle) of Regent, ND; his great grandchildren, Troy Dutchuk (Kristin), Lukas, Braxton and Camden; his grandchildren, Corey Dutchuk (MacKenzie), Jaymeson, Emmersyn, LaToya Dutchuk, Natalie Zabel (Blake), Tenley, Tyson, Tatum, Nicole Wait, Noelle Cochran (Cecil), Melissa Miller (Craig), Rhett, Rebecca, Reese, Michael Friedt (Colette), Willa, Myah, Chet, Mason Friedt (Jade), Rowan, Kiya and Evelyn; his sisters, Luella Anderson and Adeline Imhoff; his sister-in-law Leona Amann; and his close friend Loretta Sprecher. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the ND Veterans Cemetery in Mandan, ND, or Our Lady of Peace Hospice in St. Paul, MN.
