He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bentz and Lenora Bentz (Theurer); and his brother-in-law Stanley Ottmar. He is survived by: his children, Burnell (Jackie), Kevin (Lesley), Terry (Nicole), Alan (Darla) and Joleen Waldbillig (Kurt); his wife Claudia; his grandchildren, Erika Anderson (Josh), Justin Bentz, Jenessa Bentz, Tristen Hook (Aiden), Ashley Laub (Clarence III), Sydney Bentz, Alexis Bentz, Chandler Bentz, Jordan Sprecher, Jarin Sprecher and Jalen Sprecher; his great grandchildren, Caleb, Adalyn Anderson and Luca Hook; his siblings, Ervin Bentz (Eleanor), Gertie Ottmar, Ardella Vietz (Vernon), Erma Bachmann (Arlan), Dorothy Will (Emanuel), Leona Hauck, Elaine Roth and Marvin Bentz (Audrey); and also, Sharon Ottmar, Corliss Laib, Mavis Jarnagin (Taylor), Luann Fries (Tom) and Maurice Ottmar (Colette). He is also survived by sisters and brother, and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
