He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Ward and Leona Ward (Gast); his parents-in-law, George and Rita Ethier; his brother-in-law Kurt Alpers; and his niece Kellee Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Ethier; his children, Aimee Flaa (Mike) of Galchutt, ND, Adam Ward (Emily) and Alexis Neppl (Dillon Peltier); his grandchildren, Devin, Kennedy, Ryley Flaa, Keagan, Kasen, Kennasyn Neppl, Shiloh and Hazel Ward; his siblings, Beverly Klosterman (Bob), Wayne Ward (Janice), Betty Elliott (Al), Belva Haverland (Marlowe), Bonita Gylland (Vance), Cheryl Alpers, Wilferd Ward and Willerd Ward (Kari); and his parents-in-law, Linda Baskerville, Renee Griffith (Jim), Michael Ethier, Mary Dalzell (Kelly) and Margaret Berns (John). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
