She was predeceased by: her parents, Ed Peterson and Bertha Peterson (Stensland); her spouse Laurence F. Mattern Febru; and her siblings, Donald, Everett "Buddy", Harold Peterson, Esther Peterson and Ruth Baska.
She is survived by: her sons, Loren Mattern (Karalou) of Denver, CO and Dean Mattern (Colleen); her grandchildren, Trisha Helgeson (Chris), Travis Mattern (Kyra), Dr. Dawn Mattern (Heather Golly), Gwen Aberle (Shane) and Cory Mattern (Kerri); her great grandchildren, Taylor, Sydney Helgeson, Chase, Bryce Mattern, Tanner and Taryn Aberle; her siblings, Roy Peterson (Esther) and Marian Gates (Lloyd); and her sister-in-law Bev Peterson. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
