It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elmer Altendorf of Minto, North Dakota, born in Grafton, North Dakota, who passed away on June 21, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Altendorf and Laura Altendorf (Poole); his son Martin Altendorf; his grandson Eric Altendorf; his nephew Dennis Altendorf; and his brothers, Leo Altendorf and Ray Altendorf.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Collette; his children, Marvin Altendorf (Sherrie) of Minto, ND, Janice Altendorf of Minto, ND and Karen Johnson (Bruce) of Grand Forks, ND; his daughter-in-law Charleen Altendorf of Minto, ND; and his stepson Bill Valgren of Grand Forks, ND. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Building Fund, Unity Hospital Foundation or the Minto Quick Response.
