He is survived by: his daughters, Chelsie Desjarlais Amber Desjarlais (Eddie Hernandez), Miranda Grant, Shannon Belgarde and Angel Decoteau; and his siblings, Scott Balerud, Michael Desjarlais, Anita Pennington and Keri Balerud. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren.
A wake will be held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the St. Michael's Catholic Church (112 1st St W, Dunseith, ND 58329). A prayer will be held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
