We are sad to announce that on October 11, 2021, at the age of 84, Shirley Newport of Minot, North Dakota, born in Chicago, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nels Sorensen and Kathryn Sorensen (Vitrachenko); her husband Levi; her brother Ric; and her son-in-law Daniel Corbin.
She is survived by: her friends, Charlotte Rust and Tetris; her children, Peg Jensen (Tim) of Moose Lake, MN, Vicki Newport of Willernie, MN, Kathy Nelson (Daniel) of Coon Rapids, MN and Julie Corbin of Mapleton, IL; her grandchildren, Christopher Jensen (Nikki), Tianna Jensen, Margaret Nelson, Andy Nelson (Beth), Anthony Corbin, Alexander Corbin (Cari) and Adam Corbin; her great grandchildren, Amelia and Nico; and her nieces, Tasha and Terra.
In lieu of flowers, memorials: are preferred to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
