He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruppert Odegard and Anne Odegard (McArthur); his wife Harriet; his son William; his son-in-law John Staskywicz; his grandsons, Aaron Odegard and Paul Staskywicz; and his brothers, Wayne, Darold and Neal Odegard.
He is survived by: his children, Diana Staskywicz of Burlington, Patricia Fedje (David) of Fargo, Richard Odegard (Diane) of Grand Forks, Michael Odegard of Minot and Mary Eriksmoen of Bismarck; his daughter-in-law Gail Odegard of Albuquerque; and his brother Glenn Odegard (Mary Ellen) of Tucson. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.
