He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley "Jack" Painter and Hazel Painter (Mills); and his brother William Painter. He is survived by: his wife Ardis "Ardy" A. Jacobson; his daughters, Kim Withus (George) and Kristi Painter (Shannon Radke); his grandchildren, Fallon-Ann Berube (Jordan) and Kyle DuPuis (Jessica); and his great grandchildren, Mason DuPuis, Ledger Berube and Henley Berube.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Thompson - Larson Funeral Home (21 3rd Ave SW, Minot, ND 58701). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Christ Lutheran Church (502 17th St NW, Minot, ND 58703).
